Using Options & Rights:
We devise a fair allocation calculation for options/rights based on robust criteria, aiming for consistency over at least a three-year period to ensure equity and transparency.
Share your business goals with us, and together, we'll set relevant KPIs that will serve as vesting conditions, recommending a timeline of at least three years to assess target achievements.
Options/rights are allocated to employees. Upon meeting the vesting conditions: They may then choose to exercise options to purchase shares, or, in the case of rights, receive shares automatically at no cost.
The cost of shares, minus any contributions by employees exercising options, is covered by the company (with an Employee Share Trust this is known as a "round robin"). All shares are placed into a trust and managed on behalf of the employees, offering extra security and simplifying the share registry.
Using Salary Sacrifice Shares:
Employees can allocate up to $5,000 of their pre-tax salary to purchase company shares, which are then tax-deferred and trade-restricted for up to 15 years but ultimately owned by the employee.
Once trading restrictions lift or employment ends, shares become tradable, with trading in unlisted companies subject to trust approval.
